I spent the entire day sitting, walking and exploring the beaches near St.Monans. After breakfast, I went to the beach near the church, where I remained until past lunch time. I sat on a rock, watching the tide go out and the seagulls fly about. They squawked and screeched as the waves slowly retreated, revealing green seaweed clinging to the rocks. It was really quite beautiful to just sit there and watch life go by and appreciate every second of it. That is something we so often forget to do, and my time here in Scotland had reminded me of its importance.
So I had my delicious nutella-peanut butter sandwich and climbed around the rocks until it started to rain.

The church. How crazy beautiful is that?? |
I then went back to the cottage, where I did some planning for my trip to St.Andrews for a while. Then I went back out, this time to the beach on the other side of the town, near the windmill. Here I walked up and down the length of the beach, finding some of the best sea glass I have ever found.
Look at all those colors. |
So today was not too exciting, but I was able to practice the idea of "Carpe Diam"; a idea I have long understood, but only recently come to appreciate.
Anyway, tomorrow I am going to visit St.Andrews, my almost college town. I applied to the university there, and I am really psyched to see the campus. It looks like Hogwarts... :D
Check back tomorrow for that!
I love that sea glass! Maybe we can make some jewelry with it when you get back? St. Monans looks like a wonderful place that I hope to see someday with you.
